Mix n Match:Styling Existing traditional wear to Go Desi – I

Hi guys!! I am sure you guys had a great time this festive season!! Isn’t this the best part of India, too many festivals, which means too many reasons to get up, get dressed and flaunt the beautiful real you!! While everyone else was giving me dressing goals with their insta and facebook looks, for most part of this season I was not able to find anything suitable even after days and days of trying and searching. Some won’t fit, some were damaged, some were not worth and some were just not my type. Phew!! What an existential crisis isn’t it?!! 😀

Then I finally decided to go easy on my pocket and wardrobe which is already overflowing with all that’s stuffed! I decided to mix n match lehengas Saree blouses I already had and of course borrowed some from my mom ( coz moms always have the best stuff actually!!)  and created different looks for Dassera and Diwali.

Let me share some pics from these looks and do leave the comments below on how you like the mix n match here. 🙂

So the first look I created is with this particular blouse from my mom’s wardrobe. I paired it up with an old Rajasthani lehenga I bought years ago and with this red Palazzo pants I recently grabbed from pantaloons. I teamed it up with these jhumka earrings, they have this very beautiful Bohemian look with those coins hanging through them. With that, in some pictures I also wore one of my oxidized silver earrings as mangtika and these multicolored bangles that have a bit of a tribal look. As the neckline of the blouse is pretty high, there wasn’t really a need to accessorize the area.

The second look is with this pretty yellow Gujrat-ish blouse which is again my mom’s and this red Saree of mine, the first Saree I ever bought for myself. With the Bohemian neck piece and the yellow earrings from my tribal collection.

Sharing some pictures from this look here.

Will be sharing the rest of them in part two of the blog. Track me down :).
